About the role

Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University is Georgia’s only National Cancer Institute-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center. It focuses on discovering cures for cancer, inspiring hope, and offering leading-edge cancer care.

Responsibilities

  • Captures and evaluates clinical research trials, studies, and projects.
  • Develops and implements research protocols.
  • Screens potential study participants and educates them.
  • Oversees financial accounts to maintain compliance.
  • Performs patient evaluations, administers medications, and research instruments.
  • Supports specialized diagnostic, therapeutic, and surgical procedures.
  • Makes referrals to in-house or community professionals and serves as a clinical resource.
  • Collects and compiles data, assists in developing data collection systems, and writes reports.
  • Might provide infusion duties.
  • Assists in writing research grants, publications, and study materials.
  • Provides direction and may supervise other Research Nurses or support members.

Requirements

  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Georgia with three years of related nursing experience.
  • Credentialed through Emory Healthcare under the category of RN II.

Qualifications

  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of oncology and clinical research principles.

Skills

  • Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR).
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $50,000 - $70,000 annually.

Schedule

This position is full-time and works standard business hours.
