Clinical & Research Librarian

Schedule

Full-Time, Exempt; Monday-Friday. Flexible hybrid schedule with an expectation of approximately two (2) onsite days per week. Additional onsite days may be required based on operational needs, and onsite schedules are subject to change.

Purpose Statement

The Clinical & Research Librarian, as sole librarian for CHLA, independently provides individual, team, and group consultation for library services, literature search and review, and evidence-based practice and clinical decision support to CHLA staff and USC faculty members. Independently plans and delivers education to learner groups across the organization related to literature search/review and evidence-based practice.

Minimum Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of medical library terminology and methods.
• Must have current knowledge of medical developments and scientific literature.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (written & verbal).
• Preferred: 1‑year work experience in a medical library.

Education & Licensure

Master's degree in Library & Information Studies (MLIS) required.
