About the role
The WashU Medicine Center for Pediatric Neuromuscular Disorders provides quality care, state-of-the-art treatment, precision medicine, and research opportunities to pediatric and young adult patients diagnosed with neuromuscular disorders. Patients at our center have access to leading-edge clinical trials focusing on personalized medicine.
Responsibilities
- Develops case report forms, questionnaires, and applies research techniques.
- Reviews and approves billing matrix calendars for studies.
- Manages all phases of study/protocol lifecycle ensuring compliance with protocol guidelines, standard operating procedures, institutional policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintains participant progress monitoring, identifies and addresses study conduct/data inconsistencies, and develops corrective action plans.
- Serves as a liaison with funding or sponsoring agencies.
- Provides guidance to research team in the implementation and evaluation of clinical research; trains new staff; may serve as lead or point of reference for other research coordinators.
- Assists in ordering supplies needed for research projects and research groups.
- Acts as the primary liaison to Principal Investigator in developing plans for the clinical trials team; assists in preparing amendments to protocols and other regulatory tasks.
- Performs phlebotomy and lab processing following appropriate training.
- Performs other duties incidental to the work described above.

Normal office environment. Equipment includes office equipment.
Education
Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or combination of education and/or experience may substitute for minimum education. Clinical Research (3 Years).

Qualifications
- BLS certification must be obtained within one month of hire date.
- Optional based on department: SOCRA/ACRP certification.
- Master’s degree (Preferred).
