Clinical Research Coordinator II, Department of Orthopaedics (College of Medicine - Phoenix)

About the role

The Department of Orthopedics at The University of Arizona College of Medicine –Phoenix is seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator II (CRC II).

Responsibilities

  • Work under the supervision of the Orthopedics Clinical Research Manager, providing project coordination and support for clinical research daily operations.
  • Ensure successful implementation and adherence to clinical research protocols and national/local milestones, including planning, administration, timeline management, enrollment, participant engagement, data collection, and reporting.
  • Be involved in clinical research activities of various Institutes, such as creating and populating databases.
  • Interact closely with faculty members leading research activities.
  • Demonstrate competence in clinical research skills, problem-solving, priority setting, and serve as a resource for others on all aspects of conducting a clinical trial, especially for complex and multi-center trials.
  • Occasionally make off-campus visits.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Biomedical Sciences, Public Health, etc.)
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in clinical research, preferably in a hospital or academic setting.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience with database management systems.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance.

Skills

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
