About the role
The Center for Neuroengineering & Therapeutics (CNT) at the University of Pennsylvania is seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator C to join a collaborative research group focused on developing new technologies to restore brain and nervous system function.
Responsibilities
- Correspond with the IRB and manage protocols including drafting initial submission documentation, modifications, continuing reviews, and audits
- Career Development
- Maintain REDCap database and reports
- Create SOP and guidance documentation to assist in onboarding new students, staff and collaborators
- Support screening, recruiting, and consenting patients to participate in Epilepsy and Neuroengineering research studies at Penn
- Aid in collecting data, placing wearable and other devices at bedside and assisting with patient-interactive software and hardware devices
- Attend research and clinical conferences/meetings at Penn and with external collaborators
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science and 4 to 6 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
- Focus of Bachelor of Science or equivalent degree with expertise in computing preferred.
- Prior experience in signal processing and/or neuroimaging preferred.
- Excellent Written and verbal communication skills required.
- Able to confidently and collaboratively work with all members of the team, including senior management, physician leaders and others; as well as a demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Proven complex problem-solving abilities and multi-tasking skills.
- Must be flexible, detail oriented, and organized.
- Thorough knowledge relevant regulations for the conduct of human subject research including Title 21 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), International Conference of Harmonization (ICH) Guidelines.
- Knowledge of funding policies, NIH, and other grant procedures is desired.
