Clinical Research Associate I - CDP

Responsibilities

  • Plans, conducts, and completes investigations under supervision
  • Aids in the writing and editing of experimental results for publication in technical and peer-reviewed journals
  • Performs routine data analysis and verifies and corrects data entry
  • Maintains records and documentation regarding assigned research
  • Documents current or new procedures or protocols for sample selection, data collection, data processing, and/or statistical estimation
  • Conducts actigraphy processing, scoring, and analyses, and develops visual displays of quantitative information (especially related to sleep data)
  • May train research assistants working on assigned studies
  • May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned or directed by the supervisor

Qualifications

  • Master's Degree required
  • Minimum of 0 to 2 years' experience required
  • Knowledge of research procedures
  • Good communication and analytical skills
  • Working knowledge of all applicable federal and military regulations regarding the use of human and animal subjects in research
  • Familiarity with Institutional Review Board activities
  • Ability to set and meet deadlines
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a T1 Public Trust background check

Physical Capabilities

  • Ability to stand or sit at a computer for prolonged periods

Compensation

The hourly pay range for this position is $25.38-$36.06. Actual hourly pay will be determined based on experience, education, etc.

About the Role

This position will be in support of the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences’ Consortium for Defense Psychology (CDP), which is based in Bethesda, MD. CDP strives to be the central hub for the Military Health System (MHS) in the development and implementation of training and education to clinicians of military-connected individuals. This effort involves working on a research study under Dr. Gena Glickman to evaluate the effectiveness of a multi-component sleep health intervention in improving sleep quality and psychological health outcomes, including suicidality, among participating Marines.
