About the Role

IHMC is seeking a Clinical Research Associate (CRA) to work with the Human Performance and Resilience team. The CRA administers, maintains, and coordinates the logistical aspects of clinical trials and other human research projects in compliance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and relevant Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). The CRA serves as a pivotal point of contact and support for the research team, working with interdisciplinary teams including the Robotics/Exoskeleton and AI/Computer Science personnel. Responsibilities include supporting and providing guidance on the administration, compliance, and financial aspects of clinical studies.

Responsibilities

  • Administer and coordinate logistical aspects of clinical trials and human research projects in compliance with GCP and SOPs.
  • Serve as a key point of contact and support for the research team.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including Robotics/Exoskeleton and AI/Computer Science personnel.
  • Provide guidance on administration, compliance, and financial aspects of clinical studies.
  • Manage a portfolio of programs and develop/execute Methods of Procedures (MOPs).
  • Work with Institutional Review Boards (IRBs) to ensure program success and compliance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in biology or other healthcare focus areas.
  • Military experience.
  • Experience coordinating multiple programs in an interdisciplinary portfolio.
  • Regulatory and compliance knowledge (GCP, ICH, HIPAA, IRB, FDA, NIH, DoD, NASA).
  • Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office, Adobe, data management software).
  • Authorization to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s or Ph.D. degree in biology or other healthcare focus areas.
  • Experience working with military cohorts.
  • Experience with aerospace and operational physiology.
  • Experience with medical ethics.
