Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Affords assistance with coordination of basic study activities including creation of study binders, screening logs, forms, consent forms, templates, and lists.
- Affords assistance in recording, transcribing, and processing of study data, materials, or information.
- Affords assistance in coordinating study participant appointments, activities, or visits.
- Affords assistance in organizing participant charts and files and distributing appropriately.
- Affords assistance in generating letters and other written communication for study participants.
- Affords assistance in compiling study participant packets and recruitment materials.
- Affords assistance in enrolling patients in research studies under the direction of the study coordinator or principal investigator.
- Affords assistance in contacting patients if/when required to collect additional information.
- Affords assistance in providing technical support for devices, systems, tools, or instruments used for research purposes.
- Affords assistance in tracking and managing participant stipends.
- Affords assistance in developing electronic workflows to support study management.
- Affords assistance in monitoring study participant correspondence to ensure timely response.
- Affords assistance in preparing study materials for IRB review.
- Affords assistance in promoting a team atmosphere by treating individuals with respect and honesty and using direct communication and active listening skills.
- Affords assistance in being open to change and actively supporting change.
- Affords assistance in being open to others' ideas and points of view.
- Affords assistance in evaluating employees objectively and providing employees with periodic feedback.
- Affords assistance in promoting department goals as well as the mission of the hospital.
- Affords assistance in communicating goals to fellow staff members.

- Affords assistance in maintaining and/or communicating to appropriate party function backlog at a set time.
- Affords assistance in educating new staff regarding regulations or requirements of those functions that relate to their areas or departments, as directed.
- Affords assistance in demonstrating acceptance and training of student interns in the department, as directed.
- Affords assistance in participating in hospital committees, performance improvement team meetings, and team projects, as directed.

Physical/Mental Demands
- Position requires walking, sitting, and standing.
- Lifting is moderate; must be capable of lifting a minimum of twenty (20) pounds.
- Reaching, handling, grasping and manual dexterity are necessary to operate various equipment.
- Verbal and hearing ability are required to interact with staff, consultants, patients, and family members of patients.
- Numerical ability is required to maintain records and operate a computer.
- Tact is required to interact effectively with employees and professional staff.
- Logical thinking and discretion required to make decisions in initiating and implementing policies and procedures and standards.
Education/Training Requirements
- Associates degree in a medical, technical, scientific or health related field required.
- B.S. and/or prior behavioral health clinical experience strongly preferred.
- Two (2) years prior work experience in an academic, clinical, scientific or research environment.
- Exceptional written communication skills, attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
