Clinical Quality Support Spec
This is an onsite position at our company headquarters in Phoenix, AZ. Our Department of Defense contract requires US citizenship and a favorably adjudicated DOD background investigation for this position. Veterans, Reservists, Guardsmen, and military family members are encouraged to apply.
About the Role
This position works under the direction of the Manager, Clinical Quality to provide non-clinical support for the Clinical Quality Department. Responsibilities include managing correspondence, preparing documents, compiling data for meetings, tracking and following up on requested documents for PQI review or focused studies, and supporting department activities.
Responsibilities
- Orders and receives medical records for Potential Quality Issues (PQI) and CQM Department activities according to desk procedures, conducts follow-up telephone calls to providers, and completes processes to resolve missing documents.
- Obtains, prepares, and distributes materials for quality meetings, workgroups, and projects as directed.
- Maintains all CQM department files to meet TriWest confidentiality and security requirements.
- Processes invoices for medical records received and follows up with the Finance/Accounting Department as needed.
- Processes incoming and outgoing mail, faxes, and correspondence for overnight or certified delivery.
- Participates in department meetings and workgroups, serving on quality improvement committees as needed.
- Supports department activities for Provider Credentialing Committee.
- Performs other duties as assigned; regular and reliable attendance is required.
Requirements
- High School Graduate or G.E.D.
- 3+ years of administrative experience or equivalent.
- Experience in a medical office, health insurance, or managed care organization.
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Ability to work in multiple software programs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate’s Degree in Business or Administrative Services.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Microsoft OneNote experience.
- Letter writing experience.

Working Conditions
- Works in a standard office environment with no travel required.
- Extensive computer work with prolonged sitting.

Pay
This position ranges from $42,660 to $47,400 per year.
