About the Role
Responsible for monitoring clinical supply policies and procedures, providing continuing education, preparation for The Joint Commission, Infection Control, Safety Procedures, Emergency Preparedness, and assisting with performance improvement monitoring and other clinical-related programs as necessary.
Responsibilities
- Develop and write clinical support policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with the Director of Clinical Quality and Operations teams to determine educational and training needs for clinical support staff.
- Coordinate with involved parties to ensure clinical quality controls are in place and being met.
- Develop and facilitate educational material related to infection prevention and control, safety procedures, and other topics.
- Ensure training programs support and enforce Mountain Park Health Center’s policies and procedures and comply with regulatory entities.
- Evaluate and audit training effectiveness using a tracer tool and present results to stakeholders.
- Assist with the preparation and coordination of emergency preparedness and pandemic plans and activities.
- Participate with the lead safety officer in conducting in-service sessions on emergency preparedness and help develop an effective Emergency Preparedness Plan.
- Oversee procedures on CLIA Waived Test to ensure compliance with regulatory entities such as The Joint Commission and Department of Health.
- Enforce safety guidelines, including National Patient Safety Goals.
- Train and oversee instrument processing as it relates to infection control following regulatory guidelines such as The Joint Commission.
- Maintain current knowledge of Joint Commission and other clinical regulatory requirements.
- Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
- Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications
- Current R.N. licensure from the Arizona State Board of Nursing.
- At least 3 years of clinical nursing experience or equivalent combination of experience, training, and/or education.
- Associate degree in Nursing.
- Current CPR certification.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
