About the role

This is a professional clinical position providing clinical quality reviews for the Adult Outpatient (AOP) Services Division. AOP provides individual, couples', and family counseling for those affected by trauma, mental illness, or substance misuse, using evidence-based practices and research-supported interventions to restore and improve the quality of life for each individual served. In addition, AOP also provides adult behavioral health case management to assist adults with serious and persistent mental illness in gaining access to needed medical, social, educational, vocational, and other necessary services.

All AOP programming utilizes a solution-focused, client or family centered approach and evidenced based or research supported practices to assist adults and families in problem solving skills, behavior strategies, and anger management skills, among other therapeutic interventions.

The Clinical Quality Assurance Reviewer of AOP will be dedicated to ensuring clinical quality assurance in Directions for Living (DFL) AOP services, including determining medical necessity and monitoring healthcare documents to ensure compliance and quality. This includes completing, or a mix of completing and approving, all bio-psychosocial assessments, treatment planning, and other documentation and assessments as required. The role ensures clinical assessments and plans comply with documentation standards and all regulatory requirements.

The Clinical Quality Assurance Reviewer of AOP serves as a clinical subject matter expert, ensuring all client assessments and plans focus on appropriate interventions, utilizing natural supports, and emphasizing individualized, strength-based treatment planning. The role promotes compliance and strives for quality in all clinical assessments and planning, identifies opportunities for continuing clinical education, and supports the growth of AOP team members.

This is a clinic-based position reporting to the Clinical Director. Excellent communication and organizational skills, along with the ability to work collaboratively with other DFL team members, are required.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure clinical quality assurance for AOP services, including determining medical necessity and monitoring healthcare documents for compliance and quality.
  • Complete or approve bio-psychosocial assessments, treatment planning, and other required documentation and assessments.
  • Ensure clinical assessments and plans comply with documentation standards and all regulatory requirements.
  • Serve as a clinical subject matter expert, focusing on appropriate interventions, natural supports, and individualized, strength-based treatment planning.
  • Promote compliance and strive for quality in all clinical assessments and planning.
  • Identify opportunities for continuing clinical education and support the growth of AOP team members.
  • Collaborate with other DFL team members to maintain high standards of care.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in Social Work or a related field from an accredited university.
  • Florida licensure as a LMFT, LMHC, or LCSW required; must be maintained at the employee’s expense.
  • Minimum of two years of experience working with at-risk populations, including families experiencing substance misuse, domestic violence, mental health challenges, and emotionally disturbed children.
  • Previous child welfare experience preferred.

$87,500/year
