Clinical Quality Assurance Associate

About the role

The Clinical Quality Assurance Associate plays a crucial role in ensuring that HCN's clinical charts are audit-ready, organized, and compliant with city, state, and federal standards. They assist in running operations reports in AVATAR, updating documentation tracking systems, and providing training on documentation standards and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring HCN charts are audit-ready, organized, and meet compliance standards
• Running Operations Reports in AVATAR and updating internal documentation tracking systems
• Holding weekly drop-in assistance times for clinicians who need tutoring in documentation
• Providing training to staff and interns on documentation standards and best practices
• Ongoing chart review - both paper and electronic records in AVATAR
• Attendance at staff meetings
• Attending meetings and trainings as required by SFDPH
• Weekly supervision with QA Associate Director
• Weekly Program Utilization Review and Quality Control (PURQC) Committee meeting with Quality Associate Director
• Absenteeism with monthly onsite peer chart review with clinical staff and interns

Qualifications

• Two years post-graduate experience; on track with licensure; registered with BBS
• Two years of experience working with Medi-Cal documentation particularly with San Francisco systems care
• Experience with AVATAR Electronic system highly preferred
• Experience providing therapy to children and families
• People of Color, Allies of People of Color strongly encouraged to apply
