About the role

The Clinical Psychologist will provide comprehensive diagnostic evaluations and high-quality clinical care to our patients and families. This position focuses on Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) for children, adolescents, and young adults.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive diagnostic evaluations and high-quality clinical care to our patients and families.
  • Work as a member of a comprehensive DBT program, where part of your caseload will consist of clients receiving comprehensive DBT services (including DBT-C, DBT-A, and Young Adult DBT).
  • Participate in weekly DBT consultation team, provide telephone coaching for comprehensive DBT clients, and lead or co-lead DBT Skills groups for children, adolescents, young adults, or caregivers.
  • Collaborate with our clinical colleagues, including receiving and providing consultation, to support team-based care within our practice.
  • Provide training or clinical supervision to trainees, including psychologists, social workers and licensed mental health counselors.
  • Conduct workshops, presentations, and webinars on children's mental health topics for community outreach.
  • Ensure all clinical documentation requirements are met.

Requirements

  • Doctoral degree from an APA-accredited program in clinical, counseling, or school psychology
  • Current, valid, unrestricted license to practice psychology in California
  • Training in specific evidence-based interventions as noted above

Qualifications

  • Experience in providing evidence-based assessment and intervention that integrates the best available research with clinical expertise in the context of patient characteristics, culture, and preferences, including empirically supported treatments when available (e.g., DBT, CBT, ACT)
  • Experience conducting family-based interventions with parents and other family members, and collateral contacts with educators and other providers
  • Ability to collaborate with clinical colleagues, including receiving and providing consultation, to support team-based care within our practice
  • Experience providing training or clinical supervision to trainees, including psychologists, social workers and licensed mental health counselors
  • Experience conducting workshops, presentations, and webinars on children's mental health topics for community outreach
  • Experience ensuring all clinical documentation requirements are met

Pay

The salary range for the position is $116,000.00 To $150,000.00 Annually. Factors such as candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations affect the salary offered within this range. In addition, this salary may be subject to a geographic adjustment (according to a specific city and state and depending on the role).
