Key responsibilities

  • Manage and lead cross-functional project teams, consisting of individuals from various departments, including clinical operations, product development, data management, and quality assurance.
  • Collaborate closely with clients to clearly understand project requirements, objectives, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with their expectations.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, resource allocations, and budgets, effectively identifying and mitigating potential risks and roadblocks.
  • Utilize project management best practices to successfully execute projects, ensuring adherence to project scope, timeline, and quality standards.
  • Lead regular project status meetings, providing updates to stakeholders, resolving any project-related issues, and maintaining open lines of communication.
  • Oversee the implementation of clinical operations from administrative to patient engagement work.
  • Ensure effective planning and execution of site visits, investigator meetings, and other project-related activities, coordinating with internal teams and external partners as necessary.
  • Maintain detailed documentation and provide ongoing reports to management and clients.
  • Proactively identify and manage project risks, applying problem-solving skills to develop creative solutions and contingency plans.
  • Foster collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring clear communication, managing expectations, and cultivating a high level of client satisfaction.
  • Continuously assess and enhance project management processes and workflows, optimizing efficiency and quality while driving continuous improvement.

Qualifications for the role

  • PMP certified or Lean Six Sigma trained required.
  • A masters degree in a relevant field, such as healthcare, life sciences, or project management, is preferred but not required.
  • Show a proven track record of a minimum of 8 years in clinical project management, preferably within the healthcare industry and with experience in SAS solutions.
  • Possess a comprehensive understanding of clinical study processes, regulations, and best practices, including knowledge of ICH-GCP guidelines and FDA regulations.
  • Show exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to effectively lead cross-functional teams and drive project success.
  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate with clients, internal teams, and external partners.
  • Show strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with acute attention to detail.
  • Possess the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing workload effectively and maintaining focus in a fast-paced environment.
  • Display proficiency in project management software and tools, including Microsoft Project or similar applications.
  • Show adaptability and flexibility, thriving in an entrepreneurial and rapidly evolving start-up environment.
