Core Activities
The Manager of Clinical Programs will own outcomes, development, piloting, and deployment of new clinical programs. They will identify gaps in change management, roles, workflow, and systems needed to achieve the WM/Clinical Programs' short and long-term goals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Owns outcomes, development, piloting and deployment of new clinical programs
- Identifies gaps in change management, roles, workflow, and systems needed to achieve the WM/Clinical Programs' short and long-term goals
- Prepares and presents materials for meetings with Clients, Client Services, and Clinical Operations Leadership Team, as required and as requested
- Oversees WellManaged/Clinical Programs Team to ensure training and processes are appropriate and being followed
- Aids in the development of instructional material for use in diabetes educational programs (includes objectives, content, editing, design, printing and distribution)
- Creates and follows specific curriculum developed for diabetes/other education
- Creates clinical coverage guidelines for diabetic/other medications
- Captivates and assists with inter-departmental training and development
- Answers drug information questions as requested
- Works closely with client team, providers, pharmacies, and members to resolve any questions or issues involving diabetes care
- Supports and maintains program operational metrics and outcomes reporting
- Consistently meets established productivity, schedule adherence, and quality standards, while maintaining a good attendance record
- Respects and maintains confidentiality guidelines of HIPAA
- Fulfills all company policies and procedures
- Provides periodic consultation with practitioners in the field
- Consults with account management team to provide clinical and benefit design recommendations
Education and Experience
- Valid pharmacist license in the state in which the employee resides, in good standing
- Six years minimum as a practicing allied healthcare provider with direct patient care
- PBM, healthcare, pharmaceutical experience preferred

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Advanced attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
- Ability to communicate effectively, patiently, and courteously
- Ability to handle multiple activities or interruptions at once
- Focused team player who can work in conjunction with pharmacist, other departments, customers, and management
- Work independently with little supervision to meet daily deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Work Environment / Physical Demands
- This position is in a typical office environment which requires prolonged sitting in front of a computer
- Requires hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate standard office equipment including operation of standard computer and phone equipment
- May have occasional high stress when dealing with customers/clients
- Some travel may be required
