Clinical Program Manager
VOALA is a non-profit human services organization committed to serving people in need, strengthening families, and building communities. VOALA provides a variety of social services to Los Angeles area communities such as Head Start programs, Upward Bound college prep programs, veterans’ services, homeless shelters, low-income housing programs, and drug and alcohol rehabilitation.
About the role
The Clinical Program Manager I supervises all efforts to fulfill the goals and objectives of the Program, designing plans and operations according to contract and budget guidelines. This includes overseeing resources, coordinating community partners, and conducting outreach to serve participants while leveraging VOALA and community assets. The role involves evaluating and referring clients to mental health services and benefits such as housing and supportive services, including crisis intervention, case management, transitional housing, and life skills counseling in a field setting. Program participants will be suffering from co-occurring disorders.
Responsibilities
- Intake, assessments, service planning, service delivery, and goal attainment
- Training and supervision of staff, acting as a problem-solving resource for difficult cases
- Meeting grant objectives and adhering to grant guidelines
- Providing information to the Division Director on progress toward set goals
- Ensuring quality service to program clients
- Monitoring program compliance with VOALA policies and required procedures; maintaining documentation of all program services delivered
- Measuring and assessing the impact of services; supporting and participating in key elements of the program’s success
- Effectively communicating project expectations to team members
- Coordinating outreach and collaboration efforts with community partners
- Other duties as directed to accomplish program goals
Requirements
- Must be able to pass a fingerprint clearance, background check (including criminal history, personal references, employment, and education verifications), and meet Funder Approval
- Current TB screening and immunization records (within 5 days of hire)
- Copy of current professional license (if applicable)
- Current BLS Certification (within 15 days of hire)
- Valid Real ID or US Passport
- Completion of all required trainings (within 30 days of hire)
- Ability to perform under circumstances of possible emotional stress and conflicts when dealing with difficult, uncooperative, and potentially aggressive clients
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in social work, psychology, or counseling from a fully-accredited college or university
- Licensed (in good standing) with the Board of Behavioral Sciences as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
- 3 years of experience in social services program management, coordination, or supervision
- Minimum of 2 years of direct experience in staff management
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience connecting clients to community and government resources
- Experience serving the target community (veterans, homeless, at-risk youth, etc.)
- Knowledge of community resources
- Experience with HMIS and other relevant databases used by partner service providers
- Ability to work with people from various backgrounds and/or limited English capabilities
Pay
$104,162.68 - $109,644.92 per year
