Clinical Program Assistant - Genetic Center - St Joseph Medical Center - Burbank
About the role
The clinical program assistant supports the front and back office needs of the department/program at the cancer center. Duties include receptionist, secretarial, and programmatic tasks such as developing and maintaining spreadsheets, greeting patients and visitors, scheduling appointments, and rooming patients.
Responsibilities
- Answering, screening, and directing phone calls
- Greeting patients and visitors
- Scheduling appointments, tests, and other miscellaneous items
- Developing and maintaining spreadsheets, graphs, and program related statistics
- Cooking or preparing meals for patients
- Coordinating meeting appointments for the department/program assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Biological or Social Sciences or Coursework/Training: Genetics Assistant Certification. Genetic Assistant Certification (if no Bachelor's Degree) upon request.
- Basic Life Support upon hire
- 2 years of experience in a health-related field
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures

$24.00 - $35.77 per hour
