About the role

The Hunter-Bellevue School of Nursing at Hunter College is a leading nursing institution within the City University of New York (CUNY). It nurtures collaborative nurse leaders who promote wellness and advocate for health equity in local and global communities. The School of Nursing seeks a Clinical Professor for the Nurse Anesthesia Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner DNP Program.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and teach courses, including clinical instruction
  • Mentor students
  • Contribute to service to the school, college, university, and profession
  • Participate in committees and assignments
  • Support the mission and strategic goals of the School of Nursing, Hunter College, and CUNY

Qualifications

  • Doctoral degree in nursing or master’s degree in nursing with a doctoral degree in a related field
  • New York State license as a registered nurse required or following hire
  • National certification/recertification as a certified registered nurse anesthetist (CRNA)
  • Five (5) years of CRNA clinical experience, preferably serving underresourced communities
  • Strong leadership and mentoring abilities
  • A commitment to health equity and belonging for all
  • Academic teaching experience and scholarship that aligns with the School's mission and strategic goals

Pay

Salary range: $109,898 - $155,388, commensurate with academic accomplishments and experience.
