Responsibilities
- Works with clients, either individually or in groups, to address mental health concerns.
- Applies knowledge and skill to assist clients in recovery and illness management.
- Establishes boundaries of therapy including a comfortable safe environment, caring therapeutic culture, and foundation for client/family engagement in recovery and behavioral management.
- Completes comprehensive assessments, gathers data, and develops clinical formulations as the basis for treatment plans.
- Collaborates with clients/families to establish treatment goals and identify interventions to promote goal achievement.
- Timely and accurately documents in the client's medical record and coordinates care with colleagues in the clinic and throughout the continuum to secure appropriate treatment resources.
- Participates in the on-call rotation to the Emergency Departments for mental health crisis evaluation and collaborates with the on-call psychiatrist to develop appropriate care plans.
- Provides direct oversight to another primary therapist, reviewing complex clinical cases, random chart reviews, safety plans, intakes, and documentation to ensure compliance with OMH regulations.
- Works with therapists to improve clinical skills and ensure positive clinical outcomes using evidence-based methods.

- Discretion in handling confidential information.
- Professional and courteous demeanor when dealing with clients and families.
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
- Effective role modeling for teamwork.
- Computer literacy, including proficiency with Microsoft Office products and electronic medical records.
- LCSW license.
