Roles & Responsibilities
- Supervisory Responsibility: Direction - Serves as a leader for the department, organizing initiatives and providing education and teaching for pharmacy colleagues, providers, and trainees at all levels of practice.
- Materials Responsibility: Limited - Works with limited responsibility for material resources, such as supplies and equipment, with uncomplicated issues and varying volumes.
- Key Relationships: Co-workers/Health System Employees, Physicians/Medical Office Staff, Patients, Families, and Significant Others, Vendors/Clients - Works collaboratively with various stakeholders to support the hospital's goals.
Position Specification
- Education: Bachelor degree in Pharmacy
- Special Training: Satisfactory completion of ASHP Accredited Residency in Hospital Pharmacy Practice Training, or specialized residency and/or board certification in Pharma Cotherapy or other specialized field, PharmD preferred
- Licensure/Registration: Registered Pharmacist in Iowa
- Experience: More than 3 years' experience required
- Interpersonal Skills: Moderate difficulty and sensitivity in interactions, dealing with problem situations and stressful encounters
