How You'll Contribute
- Manages drug therapy protocols as a part of an interdisciplinary team.
- Reviews, interprets and evaluates medication orders to identify, prevent and resolve potential or actual drug related problems.
- Provides drug information and education to medical staff, healthcare professionals, patients, and pharmacy students.
- Determines the appropriateness of medications and monitors their effectiveness and side effects.
- Documents interventions and their outcomes for use in drug therapy quality improvement efforts.
- Evaluates medication orders for accuracy and completeness prior to order entry.
- Checks for accuracy after filling by technicians.
- Maintains adequate knowledge of pharmacy automated systems and computer software.
- Accurately and appropriately issues controlled substances to patient care areas.
- Corrects and attends to all discrepancies with controlled substances as required by law.

What We're Looking For
- A Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an accredited school of pharmacy and be licensed as a pharmacist in the state of New Mexico.
- Five (5) years' experience in clinical pharmacy (or equivalent) practice.
- Completion of an ASHP accredited residency program or national specialty certification.
Schedule
This role is a full-time position that works 8-hour shifts, mainly Monday through Friday, although a weekend rotation may be required occasionally. This role will mostly work from 6 am to 2:30 pm.
