About the role

The Clinical Pharmacist – Regional Oncology Float supports oncology and infusion pharmacy operations across multiple locations throughout the Florida market, with primary home sites including West Palm Beach and Martin North. This role requires flexibility to travel and support additional regional infusion pharmacy locations based on operational and patient care needs.

Responsibilities

  • Compounding oncology and infusion medications
  • Verifying and reviewing medication orders
  • Collaborating with providers and clinical staff regarding patient care
  • Supporting daily operational workflows within the infusion pharmacy environment

Requirements

  • PharmD or Bachelor’s of Science in Pharmacy from an accredited College of Pharmacy
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Pharmacist (RPh) or eligible in current state within 90 days of hire
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
  • Completion of a Board of Pharmacy approved course in the administration of immunizations or certification within 90 days of hire for Individuals administering immunizations
  • Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Certifications through the American Heart Association (AHA) upon or within one of hire for individuals responding to adult or pediatric cardiopulmonary arrest events

Qualifications

  • Board Certification
  • Completion of a Post-Graduate Year 1 Residency (PGY1), fellowship or relevant post-graduate pharmacy experience
  • Post-Graduate Year 2 Residency (PCY2) or relevant experience for Clinical Pharmacists in a specialized pharmacy practice area
  • Prior infusion pharmacy experience
  • Experience compounding oncology medications strongly

Skills

  • Safe, efficient, patient-centered and evidence-based pharmacy and medication services
  • Selection, dosing, administration and dispensing of medication orders
  • Verification of medication orders and/or dispense medications accurately according to state and federal regulations
  • Documentation of services in a complete, accurate and timely manner
  • Contributing to medication safety initiatives
  • Ensuring all pharmacy operations are in compliance with national accreditation standards
  • Educating and training students, residents, other caregivers, and/or patients
  • Providing cost-effective care
