About the role

The Clinical Pharmacist I is responsible for providing high-quality, individualized, cost-effective pharmaceutical care and integrated pharmacy operational services in collaboration with the healthcare team to optimize patients' medication therapy outcomes and quality of life. Performs all duties in a manner that promotes the team concept and reflects the Sisters of Providence mission and philosophy.

  • Provide comprehensive pharmaceutical patient care.
  • Follow department, facility, and regional policies, procedures, and guidelines related to the medication use system, pharmaceutical care, and documentation of clinical interventions.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with peers, caregivers, patients, and providers.
  • Maintain knowledge of regulatory requirements and medication safety standards.

Requirements

  • PharmD (Doctorate of Pharmacy) or Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy.
  • Washington Pharmacist License (required upon hire).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (where applicable).
  • Board of Pharmacy Preceptor License (when eligible and where applicable).

Preferred Qualifications

  • One year of acute care hospital pharmacy experience or equivalent.
  • Completion of an ASHP-accredited PGY1 residency.

Additional compensation may include shift differentials, standby/on-call pay, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.

Pay

Pay range: $75.49 - $119.17 per hour. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range will be determined based on relevant job experience and other applicable factors.
