Clinical Pharmacist Infusion

Essential Functions

• Reviews patients' medication order for allergy interactions, duplication of therapy, appropriateness of drug therapy, and drug-drug interaction.
• Makes appropriate evidence-based interventions to optimize medication use.
• Safeguards and efficiently dispenses medications.
• Oversees and/or participates in ensuring appropriate medications are prepared and delivered timely to care areas and stored securely and appropriately.
• Provides counseling to patients and promotes quality medication education and adherence.
• Ensures patient is well-informed, treated with respect, and receives the highest level of professional service.

Minimum Qualifications

• Doctor of Pharmacy or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy degree from an accredited institution (education verified).
• Licenses to practice pharmacy in the state of practice and dispense controlled substances.
• Current knowledge of state and federal regulations and statutes regarding the practice of pharmacy in the state of practice.
• Effective communication, people management, and project management skills.
• Immunization certification if applicable to practice site needs.

Preferred Qualifications

• Chemotherapy knowledge.
• Prior Infusion clinic Experience.
• Previous experience working in an integrated healthcare delivery system.
• Board Certification.
• Health System Residency.

Physical Requirements

• Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, documents, monitors, identify equipment and supplies, and be able to assess customer needs.
• Frequent interactions with providers, colleagues, customers, patients/clients and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, needs, and issues quickly and accurately.
• Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate supplies and equipment with precision and accuracy.
• Frequent computer use for typing, accessing needed information, etc.

About the Role

This position demonstrates consistent application of knowledge and skills to deliver appropriate, safe, efficient and cost-effective pharmaceutical care within the scope of their assigned practice. This position is responsible for the care of patients as well as the development of effective, professional relationships within the multidisciplinary team.

Pay

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
$62.89 - $92.44

Schedule

No major Holidays except an occasional Christmas Eve (same hours).
Two 10 hour shifts per week: Monday's and Friday's 7:30am-6pm.
