The posted compensation range of $73.32 - $117.40 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.
Responsibilities
- Help our doctors and nurses safely prescribe and dispense medications to help our patients feel better and recover from their illness or injury.
- Review prescriptions for potential drug interactions, correct dosing, patient allergies or anything that looks unusual in your opinion.
- Enjoy learning new concepts and researching information in real-time to provide solutions for our patients.
- Communicate drug information to patients and health professionals. Resolve drug related problems by consulting with other health care professionals to achieve appropriate patient outcomes.
- Document clinical activities and interventions such as consults, patient teachings and other patient specific information as defined by policy and procedure.
- Interpret medication orders and/or prescriptions for drug interactions, appropriate drug selection and appropriateness. Accurately enter / verify the order or prescription into the computer system, labels, and dispense medications in a timely manner.
- Verify and check medications prepared by other pharmacy personnel.
- Maintain an adequate basic knowledge base to provide clinical services for all age groups served. Provide basic clinical services as required by policy and procedure.
- Maintain a working knowledge of automated systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy, upon hire or
- Doctor of Pharmacy in Pharmacy, upon hire
- Pharmacist: WA, upon hire
- Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire
Preferred
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support, upon hire
