About the Role

The Clinical Pharmacist serves as a strategic clinical pharmacy partner, helping clients make smarter, data-driven pharmacy benefit decisions. This role collaborates with clients, account teams, and internal pharmacy experts to evaluate program performance, identify cost and utilization trends, consult on clinical opportunities, and recommend practical strategies that support affordability, quality, and member experience. The position requires translating complex pharmacy data and market insights into clear, actionable guidance for clients. Travel is required (20%) across Western Washington, Eastern Washington, and Alaska to meet with clients.

Responsibilities

• Act as a pharmacy subject matter expert for internal and external stakeholders, including brokers and employer groups.
• Develop and present pharmacy reporting to internal and external audiences, including client-specific pharmacy experience and trend reporting.
• Understand client benefit setups and work with sales to identify gaps and opportunities.
• Provide pharmacy RFP sales support.
• Maintain industry knowledge, including market trends, drug pipeline, and pharmacy product solutions, to inform benefit management strategies and product development.
• Collaborate in strategy development by bringing client and market insights to internal and external stakeholders.
• Provide thought leadership in benefit, clinical, analytics, and product recommendations to advance affordability, quality, and member experience.
• Communicate pharmacy-related marketplace topics and issues for varied audiences.

Requirements

• Pharmacist Degree (Required).
• Active U.S. Pharmacist license in good standing (Required).
• Two (2) years’ experience as a pharmacist or completion of clinical pharmacy training/residency from an accredited program (Required).
• Advanced degree (e.g., PharmD, MBA, MHA, MPH) or equivalent experience (Preferred).
• Experience in a managed care setting (Preferred).
• Experience in a retail pharmacy environment (Preferred).
• Experience delivering Medication Therapy Management (MTM) services directly to patients (Preferred).
• One or more years of experience in a managed care setting (Preferred).
• Knowledge of core elements of MTM services (Preferred).
• Demonstrated knowledge of drug utilization management tactics, including formulary development and drug use criteria.
• Demonstrated knowledge of drug information procedures and reference sourcing.
• Ability to support multiple, complex, and concurrent projects.
• Strong organizational, planning, and analytical skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
• Familiarity with local and regional healthcare issues.

Pay

Salary range: $123,200 – $209,400. The range may vary based on geographic location, market conditions, and candidate experience. The midpoint of the range is generally targeted.

Schedule

Hybrid work model with 20% travel required across Western Washington, Eastern Washington, and Alaska.
