About the Role
The Clinical Pharmacist is responsible for facilitating the case review process for prior authorizations, building and maintaining protocols, and providing recommendations on coverage determination. This position requires the ability to analyze evidence-based medicine resources, as well as those for coverage determination, to evaluate whether therapy requested for prior authorization is supported for coverage and is best suited for the given situation. It will also support the operations of new products and services.
This is a remote opportunity with a designated work schedule of 12:30 PM - 8:30 PM Eastern Standard Time (EST).
Responsibilities
- Case review and serve as initial clinical reviewer or provide secondary input for authorization process
- Synthesize treatment opinions supported by evidence-based medicine
- Maintain accurate records of all interventions and communications and provide timely verbal/written assessments on each case reviewed
- Department project participation as determined by the department’s needs, including:
- Training for new hires, students, or other departments
- Aid in drug-related projects such as clinical information updates, position papers, drug strategies, and/or process improvements
- Act as a resource for other clinicians
Requirements
- Doctorate in Pharmacy (PharmD) or relevant experience required
- Current unrestricted licensure recognized in the United States
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in the clinical oncology setting, managed care, or relevant educational attainment required
- Must be proficient in evaluating oncology drug treatment decisions by interpreting primary scientific literature and recommending alternative therapy where appropriate

Location
OncoHealth is committed to remote, hybrid, or in-office work options. The majority of the team will be remote or in hybrid work arrangements with offices in Atlanta, GA and Guaynabo, PR. We are open to employees nationwide.
