Lovelace Women’s Hospital has 120 licensed beds, including a 53-bed advanced neonatal intensive care unit, a family care unit, an award-winning breast care center, and the first robotic surgery program in the state, recognized as a Center of Excellence in Robotic Surgery by Surgical Review Corporation.

Responsibilities

• Optimize patient care by providing appropriate, safe, and cost-effective pharmaceutical care.
• Perform drug dispensing and manage an IV admixture program.
• Provide drug information to healthcare professionals and patients.
• Work under the direction of the Director of Pharmacy and/or the Pharmacy Operations Manager.
• Oversee the work of pharmacy technicians, students, and support staff.

Requirements

• B.S. or Pharm D. from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy.
• Active Pharmacist license in good standing with the appropriate State Board of Pharmacy.
• Compliance with other applicable state requirements (e.g., sterile compounding).
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• ALS/ACLS certification (required for attending Code Blue).

Preferred Qualifications

• Doctor of Pharmacy from an ACPE-accredited college of pharmacy.
• 1 year of inpatient hospital pharmacy experience.
