Clinical Pharmacist

About the role

A Clinical Pharmacist contributes to AHF by expanding primary care functions of pharmacists, such as providing individualized health promotion and disease prevention. This includes administration of vaccines, long-acting HIV treatments, diabetes monitoring, nicotine reduction programs, and other subject matters in collaboration with other AHF providers.

A Clinical Pharmacist enhances the reputation of AHF by providing valuable contributions to all locations, helping to bring “best practice” and collaborative ideas, as well as ensuring consistent application of processes, procedures, and policy throughout the organization. You will be a passionate advocate for AHF’s top initiatives while keeping the AHF core Values and Mission top of mind.

AHF operates in a dynamic environment with a collaborative organizational structure where staff are accountable to multiple leaders. The Clinical Pharmacist will work as part of a close-knit team to provide individualized health promotion and disease prevention, including administration of immunizations, diabetes and smoking cessation programs, and other Subject Matter Expertise (SME) programs developed by AHF, with appropriate collaborative drug therapy management authority. This includes prescriptive authority where legally and organizationally authorized, such as PrEP and PEP therapies.

Requirements

• State Pharmacist License
