Clinical Pharmacist (Acute and Specialist Services)

About the role

This is a substantive senior pharmacist role for someone who can practice at advanced clinical levels, while contributing to clinical leadership, service development, education, medicines governance and quality improvement activities within a supportive remote and rural healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Approximately 60% of the role will involve direct patient care across inpatient and outpatient settings
• The remaining 40% will be dedicated to service improvement, medicines governance, education, audit, pathway development and quality improvement
• Work in partnership with multidisciplinary colleagues across primary and secondary care to support improving people's outcomes and delivering safe, effective and sustainable use of medicines throughout their health journey

Requirements

• Registered as a Pharmacist Independent Prescriber with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
• Significant post-registration clinical pharmacy experience within acute hospital services
• Working towards, or has completed, their RCPharm Core Advanced Pharmacist Curriculum accreditation, with completion expected within two years of appointment
• Experience of leadership, education, quality improvement and service development
• Commitment to collaborative working and improving patient care
• Adaptability, innovation and motivation to deliver high-quality care in a remote and rural setting

Qualifications

Pay

Salary Range - £65,125 to £70,303 per annum
