Responsibilities

  • Handle incoming calls to clinic to provide patient first call resolution to meet the patients’ requests.
  • Escalate urgent patient needs to the care team in an expeditious manner, per established protocols.
  • Facilitate telehealth services, including language assistance - coordinate appointments and language services with Telemedicine.
  • Absorb patient portal enrollment - assist with resetting passwords. Coordinate technical issues with the IT support team when needed.
  • Facilitate medical records request by coordinating with medical records department while ensuring HIPAA compliance.

Requirements

  • Certificate as a Medical Assistant (CMA) Required or Diploma as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Required.
  • Demonstrated experience with strong interpersonal communication skills Required.
  • Prior experience with interpreting and following detailed policies and workflows Required.
  • Competency with Microsoft Office applications Required.
  • Prior experience with Electronic Medical Record in physician office environment Required.
  • Minimum of two (2) years as a MA/LPN Required.
  • Minimum of two (2) years in a physician office setting Preferred.

Qualifications

  • Education Qualifications: Certificate as a Medical Assistant (CMA) Required or Diploma as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Required.
  • Experience Qualifications: Demonstrated experience with strong interpersonal communication skills Required. Prior experience with interpreting and following detailed policies and workflows Required. Prior experience scheduling patients Preferred.

  • Medical Terminology knowledge.
  • Ability to follow established guidelines and workflows.
  • Problem solving skills and ability to prioritize needs.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects and tasks efficiently (time management).
  • Ability to work independently and with a team.
  • Computer proficiency.
  • Excellent communication skills.
