Clinical Outpatient Psychiatrist

Stony Brook University is undergoing tremendous growth. Our adult outpatient psychiatry service is expanding, and we are looking for individuals who welcome the challenge and satisfaction of providing outpatient psychiatric care to a diverse population in collaboration with a motivated multidisciplinary team of clinicians, educators and researchers.

Responsibilities

• Direct patient care (at least 90% effort) including diagnostic evaluations, follow-up care, and non-clinical activities (up to 10% effort) which can include research/academic activities.
• Flexible: Full-time, 40 hours workweek (5 days per week) with the possibility of evening hours.
• The position offers a hybrid schedule that includes telehealth appointments, with weekend and holiday hospital on-call responsibilities as needed.
• The position will entail telehealth services (psychiatry OPD and integration psychiatry program) along with resident supervision.

Qualifications

• MD/DO (or foreign equivalent) with Board Eligibility or Board Certification in Adult Psychiatry.
• New York State Licensure, or eligibility.
