Clinical Operations Specialist I
About the role
The Clinical Operations Specialist I provides comprehensive administrative support within a centralized Clinical Operations Pool, partnering closely with providers and interdisciplinary care teams to deliver efficient, high-quality, patient-centered care. This role serves as a key liaison between patients and clinical staff, ensuring clear, professional communication while supporting seamless coordination of care.
Responsibilities
- Manage patient interactions through phone, secure messaging, and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Facilitate appointment scheduling and support core workflows through accurate documentation and message management.
- Coordinate essential processes such as insurance verification, medication refill requests, prior authorizations, and durable medical equipment (DME) orders.
- Maintain organized patient records and ensure timely routing of messages and requests to appropriate providers and team members.
- Collaborate with Practice Managers, Clinical Coordinators, and clinical staff to deliver flexible support across care settings, promoting continuity, access, and an exceptional patient experience.
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience
- Two years of hospital or medical clinic experience with exposure to medical terminology, customer service and proficiency in EHR platforms required.
Certification/Licensure
- None required.

Compensation is determined based on qualifications, relevant training and experience, skill level, shift differentials (where applicable), internal equity, and current market conditions.
