About the Role

MedImpact Healthcare Systems, Inc. is looking for a Mail Order Pharmacist to manage accessibility, quality, and cost-effectiveness of drug and medical therapy for members and providers. This position focuses on initiating, supporting, and continuing cost-effective, rational drug, and disease therapy, utilizing distinct but inter-related management and cross-departmental functions.

Responsibilities

  • Verify and dispense prescriptions in a Mail Order setting.
  • Support a team of Pharmacy techs, warehouse workers, and packing specialists who ship out approximately 3000 scripts per day.
  • Contact patients, providers, or pharmacies regarding prescriptions.
  • Transfer prescriptions to/from other pharmacies.
  • Research drug literature to provide clinical recommendations to practitioners as needed.
  • Counsel patients on medication usage and answer drug-related questions.
  • Assist the clinical department with projects as they arise.
  • Clinically review requests for medications as part of a Prior Authorization Program.
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of changes in pharmacy practices, laws, and drugs, and apply this knowledge in daily activities.

Client Responsibilities

This is an internal and external client-facing position requiring excellent customer service skills and interpersonal communication skills (listening, verbal, written). Responsibilities include:

  • Managing difficult or emotional client situations.
  • Responding promptly to client needs.
  • Soliciting client feedback to improve service.
  • Responding to requests for service and assistance from clients.
  • Meeting commitments to clients.

Requirements

  • PharmD and 3+ years’ experience or equivalent combination of education and experience, with 1 year of SME in respective areas.
  • Currently licensed with the Nebraska Board of Pharmacy and in good standing.
  • Proficient in Windows-based programs and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to perform quality work in a fast-paced environment.

Work Location

This position must work on-site at the Fremont, NE facility for purposes of providing adequate support to internal clients, face-to-face interactions, and coordination of work with other employees, colleagues, clients, or vendors. Remote work is not an option.

Schedule

This is a full-time non-exempt position. The typical working hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with the ability to work overtime, nights, weekends, or holidays as required to meet business needs.

Pay

Pay scale ranges from $52.17 to $94.43 per hour. Pay scale information is not necessarily reflective of actual compensation, which may depend on experience, education, qualifications, and other factors.
