Clinical Nutrition Manager III - Healthcare
About the Role
In this leadership role, you will oversee clinical nutrition and patient foodservice operations across multiple healthcare sites within the Boston metro-north region. You will guide a team of skilled professionals, ensuring regulatory compliance, enhancing patient outcomes, and driving innovation in nutrition services on a broad scale. Your strategic influence will shape the future of nutrition care and service delivery within a complex healthcare environment.
Accountable for managing people, setting direction, and deploying resources; typically responsible for performance evaluation, pay reviews, and hire/fire decisions. Results are primarily achieved through the work of others and depend on the manager's ability to influence and negotiate with parts of the organization. Responsibilities
- Provide executive leadership and strategic oversight for multi-site clinical nutrition and foodservice programs, ensuring alignment with client goals and organizational mission.
- Develop, implement, and maintain policies and procedures that uphold clinical excellence and meet all regulatory and compliance standards.
- Recruit, credential, and manage clinical and patient services teams, fostering professional growth through mentorship and performance management.
- Collaborate closely with medical, nursing, and administrative leaders to guide care delivery, menu planning, and clinical protocol development.
- Utilize clinical and financial data to drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance patient outcomes and operational efficiency.
- Lead nutrition education, training, and credentialing programs for staff and interns, while identifying opportunities for innovative program expansion.
Requirements
- Extensive leadership experience managing large, interdisciplinary teams across multiple healthcare sites.
- Clinical nutrition expertise, including specialized patient care, foodservice operations, and regulatory compliance.
- Strategic mindset with a track record of driving business results, innovation, and effective contract management.
- Operational skills in budgeting, labor management, and performance evaluation for multi-site programs.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to foster collaboration with clinical, administrative, and operational partners.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in nutrition, dietetics, or related field or Bachelor’s degree if eligible for the RD exam before 1/1/24.
- Eligible for or currently credentialed as a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR). Must obtain RDN status within 120 days of hire if not already credentialed.
- State licensure/certification as required by state law at time of hire.
Pay
$103,445 – $133,870 per year.
