The Role
The Clinical Nutrition Manager oversees Nutritional Services, including registered dietitians, registered dietitian specialists, infant nutrition techs, and clinical nutrition services.
Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and direct the work of others
- Communicate effectively in both written and verbal forms to patients, staff, physicians, and management staff
- Be knowledgeable with the National Research Council’s Recommended Dietary Allowances
- Understand national and state standards and regulations affecting RD practice
- Demonstrate leadership and administrative experience through at least 6 months’ experience as a lead/supervisor
- Apply the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Nutrition Care Process
- Use Microsoft Windows
- Use CBORD computerized foodservice program (preferred)
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in dietetics, foods and nutrition, or related field
- Master's degree in dietetics or related field preferred
- Completion of an approved supervised practice program by the Commission on Accreditation for Dietetics Education (CADE) of the Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics
- 3+ years of clinical experience
Skills
- Comprehensive knowledge and application of medical nutrition therapy
- Nutrient analysis and word processing skills
- Knowledge of national and state standards and regulations affecting RD practice
- Ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal forms
- Knowledge of the National Research Council’s Recommended Dietary Allowances
- Ability to apply the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Nutrition Care Process
- Mathematical capabilities essential to job duties
- Proficiency in Microsoft Windows
- Ability to apply the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Nutrition Care Process
