The Role

The Clinical Nutrition Manager oversees Nutritional Services, including registered dietitians, registered dietitian specialists, infant nutrition techs, and clinical nutrition services.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, and direct the work of others
  • Communicate effectively in both written and verbal forms to patients, staff, physicians, and management staff
  • Be knowledgeable with the National Research Council’s Recommended Dietary Allowances
  • Understand national and state standards and regulations affecting RD practice
  • Demonstrate leadership and administrative experience through at least 6 months’ experience as a lead/supervisor
  • Apply the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Nutrition Care Process
  • Use Microsoft Windows
  • Use CBORD computerized foodservice program (preferred)

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in dietetics, foods and nutrition, or related field
  • Master's degree in dietetics or related field preferred
  • Completion of an approved supervised practice program by the Commission on Accreditation for Dietetics Education (CADE) of the Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics
  • 3+ years of clinical experience

Skills

  • Comprehensive knowledge and application of medical nutrition therapy
  • Nutrient analysis and word processing skills
  • Knowledge of national and state standards and regulations affecting RD practice
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal forms
  • Knowledge of the National Research Council’s Recommended Dietary Allowances
  • Ability to apply the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Nutrition Care Process
  • Mathematical capabilities essential to job duties
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Windows
  • Ability to apply the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Nutrition Care Process
