Position Overview

We are excited to invite a Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our dedicated team. At MSK, we recognize the vital role of the Clinical Nurse Specialist in enhancing clinical care and delivering exceptional support to our oncology patients. Our skilled nursing team boasts over 40 Clinical Nurse Specialists, all focused on providing compassionate, evidence-based nursing care in a forward-thinking environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead clinical initiatives in evidence-based oncology nursing practice, education, consultation, and research.
  • Support and advocate for MSK's patients facing cancer, collaborating closely with the nursing team.
  • Coordinate the implementation of best practice standards across various sites.
  • Demonstrate positive outcomes in relation to nurse-sensitive indicators and overall patient and staff satisfaction.
  • Foster a patient-centered care environment in partnership with nursing leaders and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Promote Relationship-Based Care throughout all aspects of patient interactions.
  • Share MSK's oncology nursing practices and outcomes through abstract submissions, presentations, and evidence-based research.

Qualifications

  • Current NY State RN license with CNS qualification required. (Current CNS students may be considered if they are 6-12 months from graduation)
  • Master's degree in nursing.
  • National certification.
  • At least 3 years of oncology experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience in an advanced nursing role is highly desirable.
  • Self-direction and strong interpersonal skills are essential.

Additional Information

Location: MSK Koch, 530 East 74th Street

Reporting to: The Associate Director, Evidence-Based Practice

Schedule: Day shift CNS position, 4 ten-hour shifts, with weekend coverage.

Compensation: Pay range starting at $136,400.00 and extending to $225,100.00. At MSK, we are committed to fair and competitive compensation that reflects your skills and experience.
