Job Summary
You will help advance the practice of nursing and foster professional development within Mercy San Juan Medical Center's neonatal department.
Responsibilities
- Lead clinical activities and projects
- Apply advanced clinical expertise and promote evidence-based practices
- Role model critical thinking, sound nursing judgment, effective communication, and strong teamwork
- Provide clinical expertise to the nursing unit and programs
- Mentor staff in their professional growth
- Demonstrate knowledge of current research and evaluate its impact on clinical practice
- Participate in community education, lectures to schools, institutions, and professional groups/organizations
- Participate in program and/or project development
Required Job Requirements
- Master's degree in Nursing (MSN)
- Three (3) to five (5) years of clinical experience as an RN in NICU (Level III)
- Active Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) license with a specialty in Neonatal Intensive Care (NICU)
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of California
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification - American Heart Association
- Two (2) years of experience as a NICU Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS)
Preferred Qualifications
- RNC (Registered Nurse Certified) certification
