Clinical Nurse - Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Outpatient Clinic

About the Role

Provides direct patient care in a pediatric and hematology/oncology setting, focusing on assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing activities. Ensures patient and family-centered care, promoting education on illness management, post-treatment care, and medication administration.

Responsibilities

• Develops and documents individualized care plans collaboratively with the healthcare team and families.
• Communicates care strategies and assesses physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs.
• Participates in quality, safety, and regulatory activities.
• Engages in ongoing professional development.
• Maintains a safe environment by adhering to alertness and safety standards (safety-sensitive role).

Requirements

• Nursing Diploma or Associate’s Degree with an active RN license (Bachelor’s Degree preferred).
• No prior experience required; pediatric or hematology/oncology experience is advantageous.
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills.
