Clinical Nurse - Pediatric Float Pool

About the role

Provides direct patient care in specialized units such as ICUs and ER, ensuring high-quality, patient- and family-centered care. Responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating individualized care plans, educating patients and families on managing their conditions, and promoting safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. Utilizes critical nursing skills to evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient preferences and barriers. Maintains communication across care teams and adheres to standards of nursing practice.

Responsibilities

• Promote a healing environment and educate patients and families on post-treatment care.
• Participate in activities that enhance patient safety, quality, and compliance.
• Develop and communicate individualized care plans collaboratively with the healthcare team.

Qualifications

• RN license required.
• Nursing Diploma or Associate's degree required; Bachelor's preferred.
• Preferred: less than two years of experience, with at least two years in acute care.

• Strong assessment, critical thinking, communication, and patient education skills.
• Ability to work in a safety-sensitive environment with alertness and safety awareness.
