Clinical Nurse OR Seasonal Pool - Single SRO
About the role
BayCare Health Systems is currently seeking experienced OR Registered Nurses to join their outstanding and compassionate float team.
Responsibilities
- Works in a hospital setting and independently cares for a group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards.
- Delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team.
- Collaborates and communicates with inter-disciplinary care providers in developing and assisting in the plan of care.
- Organizes and prioritizes and updates the plan of care in collaboration with the patient, family, and significant others in the department.
- Identifies patients at risk for injury regarding diagnosis, medication, procedure, age, etc., and prepares the room environment.
- Performs the role of preceptor and charge nurse when assigned.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse license.
- BLS required.
- AACLS is required.
- Associates Degree in Nursing.
- 18 months RN experience in an acute OR setting is required.
- 2 years RN experience in an acute OR setting is strongly preferred.
- Prior experience with Cerner EMR is strongly preferred.
- Must have independent transportation for assignments/shifts.
Qualifications
- Flexibility to work at multiple locations.
- Ability to work weekends and occasional on-call shifts.
Benefits
Seasonal 13-week OR assignments available October-March with a stipend option. Eligibility requires living more than 100 miles from the facility.
