Position Summary
This role serves as a bridge between academic preparation and clinical practice, supporting the development of nursing students, new graduates, and clinical coaches into competent clinicians and mentors. The role integrates clinical instruction, workforce development, onboarding, and academic advising to support recruitment, retention, and successful transition to practice. The incumbent will also serve as an Adjunct Nursing Instructor in Association with Halifax Community College and others as deemed.
Minimum Requirements
- BSN required.
- Current North Carolina RN license required.
- 3-5 years of health care experience required.
- Hospital experience required.
- Must meet North Carolina Board of Nursing faculty preparation requirements in teaching and learning principles for adult education, including curriculum development, implementation, and evaluation, prior to or within three (3) years of employment (e.g., completion of the NC AHEC Nursing Clinical Instructor Partner [CIP] Course or another Board-approved equivalent).
- AHA BLS Certified.
Preferred Requirements
- Master's degree preferred.
- Two years' experience teaching adults preferred.
- Experience teaching/supervising nursing aides and other licensed nurses preferred.
- EHR EPIC e preferred.
Pay
Pay Range: $79,664.00 - $116,116.00
