About the role

Provides direct patient care in specialized units such as ICUs and ER, promoting patient and family-centered care. Responsibilities include assessing, diagnosing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care, developing individualized plans collaboratively, and ensuring effective communication across care teams. Educates patients and families on managing their health, post-treatment needs, and medications. Participates in activities to enhance safety, quality, and compliance, and engages in ongoing professional development.

Responsibilities

• Assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient values and barriers.
• Maintain safety and adhere to standards of nursing care.
• Promote education and support for patients and families regarding health management.
• Participate in quality improvement and regulatory activities.
• Assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Develop individualized care plans collaboratively with patients and families.
• Ensure effective communication across care teams.
• Educate patients and families on managing health, post-treatment needs, and medications.
• Participate in activities to enhance safety, quality, and compliance.
• Engage in ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree required; Bachelor's preferred.
• Valid RN license.
• Preferred: 2 years of acute care RN experience.
