About the role
The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) at Methodist Hospital ensures and delivers high quality, patient-centered care and coordination of all functions in the unit/department during the designated shift. In collaboration with other members of the management team, the CNC directs, monitors, and evaluates nursing care in accordance with established policies/procedures, serves as a resource person for staff, and models a commitment to the organization’s vision/mission/values to support an unparalleled patient experience and clinical outcomes that contribute to overall departmental performance.

- Aids in staff scheduling.
- Manages all practical aspects of staff labor in accordance with patient care needs and established productivity guidelines.
- Supports proper inventory control and assists with managing supplies and equipment.
- Ensures compliance with all policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
- Supports the mission and vision of the Methodist Healthcare System.
- Understands and is committed to helping the Methodist Healthcare System and its associated facilities achieve its goals.
- Must learn and comply with System and facility safety policies and rules; must use appropriate safety equipment and procedures at all times; must immediately report all unsafe conditions to supervisors; must be familiar with all safety features of equipment, tools or materials encompassed by job duties; and must check with supervisors (prior to job performance) if there is a question as to the safe procedure to be used for any job function.

- Completes other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited diploma, associates, or baccalaureate degree registered nursing program required.
- Minimum of one (1) year of clinical experience as a licensed Registered Nurse required.
- 2-5 years of ICU experience as a licensed Registered Nurse highly preferred.
- Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Texas or Multi-State Compact License required (Employees with RN Compact License are required to obtain Texas RN License within 90 days of hire date).
- Current American Heart Association BLS Certification required.
