Job Summary

As the PICU Clinical Coordinator, you will collaborate with all other healthcare disciplines to achieve successful execution of the patient's plan-of-care and goals of the department. You will serve as a professional role-model and interface directly with patients, families, physicians, and staff. You will utilize physical assessment skills and advanced diagnostic technology to aid in the assessment of the patient's nursing care needs. You will continue to monitor and assess the patient's physical condition, emotional and social needs, continually refining the plan-of-care to ensure achievement of the desired goals of the patient and facility outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 1 Year of RN experience - Required
  • Education: Associates degree in Nursing - Preferred, Bachelors in Science in Nursing - Preferred
  • Licenses and Certifications: Texas registered nurse license, Basic Life Support certification (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), PALS must be obtained within six months of hire.

What You Will Do

What You Will Need

You will develop/approve unit schedules according to staffing guidelines. You will coordinate employees' attendance at scheduled/required education programs. You will interpret hospital and personnel policies to physician, nursing staff, patients, visitors, and other hospital personnel. You will complete patient and employee incident reports and related paperwork within 24 hours of incident. You will coordinate unit functions with other hospital departments. You will maintain complete staff/patient assignment records 100% of the time. You will assign staff according to staff abilities and skills and the patient's acuity.
