Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary decision maker for clinical and managerial operations and workflow during a given shift.
  • Assume care responsibilities for patients on the unit if needed.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to coordinate, evaluate, customize, and deliver high quality, patient-centered care.
  • Assess the quality of nursing care services provided and operationalize evidenced-based practices to enhance patient safety and quality outcomes.
  • Assume leadership responsibility within the unit in support of the RN manager/director, including direct supervision of a portion of the staff, education and coaching, payroll editing, annual performance reviews, and employee recognition.
  • Have designated responsibilities that may rotate within one or more of the following core areas: Quality, Safety, and Regulatory Preparedness, Patient Experience, Employee Engagement, Physician Satisfaction, and Culture, Fiscal Responsibility including scheduling, overtime review, and supply management, Staff Development including education / clinical competencies and Graduate Nurse Residency / Preceptor support.

Qualifications

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Neonate Resuscitate must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • (RN) Registered Nurse(C-EFM) Certification in Electronic Fetal Monitoring must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date.
  • Associate Degree, or Bachelors Degree.
  • No Travel Required.
  • 1 years experience Required.
