About the role
A Clinical Nurse Coordinator facilitates unit operations, provides clinical expertise, and supports nursing staff.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate on patient admissions, transfers, and discharges
- Conduct patient rounds
- Ensure appropriate staffing and coverage
- Delegate tasks to staff and non-professional personnel
- Participate in quality improvement and unit committees
- Orient and evaluate agency staff
- Coordinate responses during codes and emergencies
- Communicate with other departments
- Support staff development
Requirements
- Nursing degree (Bachelor's preferred)
- 2+ years of clinical nursing experience
- Valid RN license in Illinois
- CPR certification
- Specialty Board Certification within 2 years of promotion
