Clinical Nurse

About the role

Provides direct patient care in a 24/7 Cancer Care Clinic, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within nursing standards.

Responsibilities

• Promotes patient and family-centered care, educating on illness management, post-treatment care, and medication administration.
• Participates in ensuring patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance, while engaging in professional development.
• Develops, implements, and documents individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team, patients, and families, ensuring effective communication across care settings.
• Utilizes critical nursing skills to evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional patient needs, considering cultural, spiritual, and personal factors.
• Supports patients receiving chemotherapy, blood products, IV hydration, and port care.
• Collaborates with Nurse Practitioners, staff nurses, and patient care technicians.

Qualifications

• RN license with a Nursing Diploma/Associate's degree; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Oncology experience is highly desirable.
• Ability to work in a safety-sensitive environment with constant alertness.

Schedule

This role involves PRN shifts, including day, night, weekday, and weekend hours, with no specified contract duration.
