About the role
The Clinical Nurse provides expert clinical leadership, guidance and support to care staff to ensure safe, high-quality, resident-centred care. The role plays a key part in complex clinical decision-making, care planning, funding optimisation and continuous quality improvement, while ensuring care aligns with organisational values, best practice and accreditation standards.
Responsibilities
- Provide expert clinical leadership and advice in the management of complex resident care needs
- Contribute to the development, implementation, monitoring and review of resident care plans to promote health, wellbeing and quality of life
- Complete comprehensive and accurate clinical assessments and documentation
- Support staff orientation, mentoring, clinical supervision and ongoing professional development
- Promote a consultative and collaborative approach to resident care planning and quality activities
- Assist in ensuring compliance with accreditation standards, legislation and clinical governance requirements
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, residents, families and external stakeholders
- Participate in continuous quality improvement, risk management and workplace health and safety activities
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse registration with AHPRA
- Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent qualification
- Extensive general nursing experience with strong clinical skills
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge of the Aged Care Funding Instrument (ACFI)
- Understanding of person-centred, resident-based care delivery
- Strong interpersonal, communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Experience working within a multidisciplinary team environment
- Intermediate computer skills and accurate clinical documentation capability

$59.43 – $60.70 per hour + Super + Not for Profit Salary Packaging + Penalties & Allowances
