About the role

The Adler University's CACREP-accredited Clinical Mental Health Counseling (CMHC) program is seeking adjunct faculty members to teach graduate-level courses on the Chicago Campus during the Fall 2026 semester.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality instruction in assigned graduate courses in the CMHC program.
  • Utilize effective teaching strategies to engage diverse student populations.
  • Provide timely and constructive feedback to students.
  • Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance.
  • Participate in program meetings and trainings if required.
  • Stay current with developments in the counseling field and integrate relevant knowledge into teaching.

Requirements

  • Doctorate in Counselor Education and Supervision from a CACREP-accredited program preferred.
  • Minimum of two years of post-master's clinical experience in mental health counseling.
  • Demonstrated commitment to multicultural competence and social justice in counseling.
  • Experience teaching at the graduate level, preferably in a CACREP-accredited program.
  • Familiarity with online and hybrid teaching modalities is advantageous.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supervising counseling practicum and internship students.
  • Active membership in professional counseling organizations (e.g., ACA, AMHCA).
  • Engagement in ongoing professional development and scholarship.

Education/Experience

Licensed or license eligible as a professional counselor (e.g., LPC, LCPC) in Illinois.
